Household Assessments

AirKmay volunteers are currently conducting household assessments to all the 50 families attached to the organization to identify needs. The team of experts is also providing psychosocial support, counseling services to these families and while mobilizing caregivers and young adults to form or join savings and lending groups which is led by private service providers working closely with AK. We are further conducting life skills sessions for youths and adolescents in the organization.

Currently, AirKmay is raising funds to support families to meet their immediate and mid-term goals. These include raising school fees for 36 children, providing 43 families with income-generating activities e.g fish business, chicken rearing business, clothing business amongst others; raising emergency funds for 26 families to meet immediate needs e.g to purchase food items, pay medical bills. AK is also mobilizing for both children and adults, play items, inspiration books, children books, novels, scholastic materials, dignity packs e.g sanitary pads, inner garments, hygiene IEC materials, beddings e.g mattress, bedsheets; shelter renovations materials e.g iron sheets,  ICT support, and supplies e.g desktops, laptops, tree seedlings amongst other items.

The organization is also identifying other like-minded persons and organizations to support its mission. Check on the partnership, donate and volunteer section to learn more on how to do it!
